Chevron

Honoring Lions for their years of service with a Chevron for their Lions pin, a Serving Generations Certificate and a Letter from the Lions International President Bob Corlew was the highlight of the 19F District Conference for me. Service is paramount and has been for 100 years of Lionism.

We augmented the honoring by giving awardees the option of adding a "fun" photograph to the normal shakes hands with the highest ranking dignitary while you get your award shot. I had tempted them with "This is the photo your grand kids will find in a trunk in the attic one day and wonder what kind of a fun guy their grandma or grandpa really was!"

Council Chairman Enoch Roland was doing the hand shaking. Whether they were solemn, smiling, or having a bit of a hoot Lions in the following photos are great!
