Bingo
When we cruised into Washtucna for an unofficial visit last weekend we were doing so with an invitation from Lion Carol Butterfield to come play some Bingo. VDG Crystal commented that between the bar next door and the Lions Club Bingo-ers that half the town was in attendance. With a town population of 202 she was pretty close to right.
Four Lions were putting on the two hour session which happens on a regular basis from October to March.
Crystal Bingo-ed twice and I did once receiving enough cash in prizes to pay the fuel for the trip from Walla Walla. I also got to take some pics of their extensive pin and lion collection. Lions in Wastucna have been having fun and serving their small town since 1948. They serve big on the 4th of July, with Bingo, a free community Thanksgiving meal and eye glasses for the needy.
People had driven in from Lind and Kahlotus and to join in the wholesome, family oriented, and smoke free Bingo games. We had a load of fun.
